ive been a tank main for over 500 + m10s and do a lot of speedruns with friends, a lot of what you said is brilliant apart from, id advise hitting the mob before you taunt, this will give you guarenteed aggy no matter what, and do damage while your tanking, i spend more time dodging as a tank then blocking unless theres a lot of mobs and if you have warded gear you dont need more than 200 con, good video though its good for the basics :)

Did the devs ever say that blocking generates threat? I might be losing my memory in my old age but I swear they added that to prevent tanks from losing aggro while mitigating

Hey. Nice vid. looking forward for more. Now a question:
I am playing a tank successfully for a few months now. The classic way, as you describe. But I would like to look into ways to combine sword/shield tanking with magic. Do you have experience with the HATED perc on armor? Could it work to replace the carnelian gem in the weapon?

I assume you actually need to hit enemies or cause damage to generate threat? Hitting enemies nearby doesn't cause threat? So each threat level is handled individually per enemy?

I'm struggling as a fresh 60 and tanking. By reading these comments it seems I'm blocking too much. I can hold threat but seem to take a lot of dmg. Does it matter wut shield i use? Any other tips?
