Howard O. Pittman has permanently gone home to be with the Lord!
Howard served with the New Orleans Police Department for 26 years until he died on August 3, 1979 and God gave him a second chance at life on earth.

Howard would go on to serve the Lord for nearly another 40 years until he died a second time on March 13, 2019.

Howard Pittman preached and taught God’s message on nearly every continent, and even though he has passed away, his message still resonates through his books.

In 2015 Pastor Mark sat down with Howard Pittman and heard firsthand his near death experience.

Howard shared what he experienced at the point of death when his spirit left his body and he crossed over into the spiritual realm.

While having this experience Howard was taken by angels and given a tour of Satan's kingdom in the 2nd heaven. He also came the entrance of heaven and had a life changing conversation with God.

It's appreciated that you reminded us of text over testimony. As you know, the biblical exegesis of James 2 isn't saying faith without works = no faith. The correct exegesis is telling saved Christians to get busy, get some good works to make their faith profitable to others. This is contrary to Howard's use of "your faith is dead". Because in his testimony it appears he was never saved prior (since he failed the Matthew 7 test, answering like the works salvationists "haven't we done this and that...") and therefore he would have had no saving faith. And that means God wouldn't be quoting James 2 out of context to Howard. Howard might be truly saved now but take some caution in propping him up. Howard is reading the Bible with born again eyes for the first time now. Maybe there's a way you can reach out to him for a discussion on James 2 and the relationship between faith and works

To understand Pittmans testimony it’s worth listening to the whole thing. As I recall he even says stuff like “God didn’t say I wasn’t saved” and doesn’t actually say works salvation. People will read into it I think. Of course the Bible is the Bible and this doesn’t mean Pittman is right or wrong, but I get the idea people take his testimony and read stuff into it.

Faith WITHOUT works is whats dead. Bible says to crucify flesh daily. And he never died n went anywhere bible shows. Had an experience ? Mabey. One guy said he made his up years latter. Show one text that says we go to heaven when die or ate conscious. Not what you think. One at a time. Dead are sleeping n even David isnt in heaven Acts 2 kjv says. Dont say HE just left body ( jacket) behind cause that means HE is up there. Our spirit is conscious when die? This guy must not know bible. " The SPIRIT of God is in my NOSTRILS the BREATH of life is in me" kjv. We got a ghost up our nose? Compare to Genesis " God breathed into man's NOSTRILS the BREATH of life and man became a living soul ( being). Radio is a body, battery is spirit n soul is working with both combined. You really don't have the understanding of the difference between OSAS and having assurance of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. I understand it completely because I was Baptist from the age of 12, professing faith and getting baptized, and then in church all the time. I sang in the choir, sang solos, taught the Newlywed class as well as kids, did all kinds of Baptist church activities. BUT I WAS NOT BORN AGAIN until age 45. When I got born again, God revealed all the sins I had done going back to age 7. I repented and was filled with the Holy Spirit. OSAS is a profession without any fruit of godly sorrow that produces repentance that leads to salvation. Faith without works is dead too!

Howard Pittman is telling the truth that OSAS is not true because it is a belief that you can be a believer without being born again, and you can profess Christ and be baptized, but you still lie, steal, fornicate, commit adultery (my husband was a Baptist deacon committing adultery and then divorced me and remarried which is also adultery according to the Scriptures), use porn (so many pastors are porn addicts as I showed in a recent video), get drunk, have idolatry and covetousness, etc. That is not truly being saved because a born again believer does not keep sinning against God- Jude 1:4, 1 John 3, Romans 6. A born again believer repents and lives as holy as possible and sanctified as those sins are sins of the past. There are so many false conversions (that was my life until getting born again 19 years ago) that are the product of a false gospel without repentance (1 Corinthians 5, 2 Corinthians 7:10-11).

Most OSAS people have never heard the voice of God, but once you get born again, you regularly hear the still, small voice and you don't use grace as a license to sin. You stay on the narrow road.

Mr. Pittman also mentioned the church of Laodicea, and he is right that those are lukewarm Christians (in the church so believers) who are going to be left behind as well as the believers who continue in fornication or adultery in the church of Thyatira. In the book of Revelation, the word "works" is used 17 times, so after being born again, we will produce works that please the Father and will be rewarded at the rapture and Bema judgment. I have heard the booming voice of God myself, and my testimony is on my channel. Mr. Pittman was telling the truth. We can also apostasize or fall away from the faith by our free will to love sin more than the righteousness of God. And God can write our name out of the Book of Life. Jesus is Lord! Maranatha.

Once saved always saved is a lie from the pits of hell. Living in sin will send you to hell whether you claim to be saved or not.
