If you don't want to evacuate thst's fine, your choice but don't expect aid from emergency services once you have made that decision. Their job is not to put themselves in harms way because you made a poor choice. This should be broadcast over the local radio stations. You can only advise people after that they are on their own.

I hate the place i live because of winter and boring geography but at least i dont have to worry about extremely violent hurricanes, earthquakes, floods or other disasters
