In this game, the ball pit is an actual time traveling device, as a door is broken in the past and disappears in the future.

Thank you for explaining that the pit is not a physical portal and how the father is possessed by the Afton monster. It makes way more sense and actually makes what happened to Oswald so much more frightening.

So it’s kinda like that psychoreactive slime from ghostbusters? Neat!

Into the Pit is a very interesting story, in the lore of Five Nights at Freddy's. It's unique, it's different, and it adds a lot of depth to the lore; creating more and more theories for anyone that is a fan of the franchise.

Hope there will be more installments based on the Fazbear Frights, the horror elements is there.

Soooo basically what you're saying is that Pit-Bonnie is a entity that's too angry to die?.... Thas TUFF

You explained it all right there, i feel very satisfied with this theory and explanation^^
Oswald goes to Jeff's possesed pizza every day and gets memories old fond memories that are not his own. Making him connected to these memories indirectly. Ballpit is the strong magic pool that allowed Oswald to see everything clearly but it's also through his experience of retelling of these memories that pit bonnie comes to life. (Somehow idk why he needed a kid to fall in the pit to finally manefest)
Then the pit bon possesed angry dad. Then Oswald wanted to save his father and he basically saved his father from being spirited away somehow either through book events or game events.
So Oswald is completely unrelated to any of this and is a standalone fresh character unrelated to any of this. Got the memories of the children, got in touch with their darkest nightmare, and tried to fix everything.
This is a really cool story and i like it a lot.
Now then jeff has a lot of explaining to do actually since he tried to bribe Oswald with pizza to never mention anything about his pizzaria again.
Jeff is also prone to being chased by pit bonnie. And anybody really but Oswald and Jeff are the most likely to be chased because they spent so much time there.

I think the more interesting thing about pit bonnie is that he isnt just some dude in a rabbit suit, this is a REAL monster inside of the suit.

I appreciate a lot of your theories. They are great.

The only boy who manages to survive within the book collections. (Haven't read them all in a long time, along with the main boy with the dog fetch. Correct me if I'm wrong.)

So... if the yellow rabbit was really some kind of "ghostly" entity that possessed Oswald's dad, does that mean it was actually Oswald's possessed dad who bit him on the arm and later got hanged in the ball pit net at the end? If that's true, then how does Oswald's dad wake up unharmed and see the yellow rabbit's dead body? And why would the yellow rabbit’s body only appear dead at the very end, out of nowhere?

Imo the game seems to suggest that the yellow rabbit was real (with his own body as a monster). I mean, he escaped from the ball pit into the real world without possessing Oswald's dad, leaving him physically trapped and unconscious in a fake world inside the ball pit.

I still think that could be the case, since in the game's one-star bad ending, the yellow rabbit kidnaps Oswald and drags him into the ball pit (probably to kill him), while Oswald's dad just watches terrified. Even though that’s not the true ending, it might imply that everything was real (the yellow rabbit physically escaped into the real world, and there’s a fake world made of agony inside the ball pit)

Honestly, this story is a bit confusing... I hope that when the interactive novel "Return to the Pit" comes out, we'll finally know the truth

Just a thought, but maybe Pit-Bonny couldn't possess Oswald ASAP due to brain differences with age.

Based on the dad's age, he'd probably have a more similar brain compared to Pit-Bonny just due to his age and how the emotions work at that point.

Doesn't really explain how we can catch a rat and bring it to the real world

Why can the pit allow the agony to travel time but not the kids who are playing in the pit the first time Oswald travels to the past?
