Opening a Franchise Insurance Agency vs Independent Insurance Agency

Opening an independent insurance agency was always a dream of mine. I do get a lot of questions about opening a franchise agency as well. Even though I didn't, I learned a lot regarding that subject when working as a captive agent.

It may not be your "business", but it is your cash flow with huge brand recognition and built in trust. Its like McDonalds. Many try to open their own burger shop but fail. If you hire properly you can let the business run itself and keep that cash flow passively until you die. Then deploy the cash into other smart investments and get your time back.

Got licensed in December and work at state farm now as a member. I've tried to expand the marketing for my agency and can attest to that. She can only use state farm approved stuff and it feels very limited. Your videos have really gave some good insight on whether being a independent agent vs a team member.

Your video is super great and very informative. am about to an insurance Franchise and yes, they require a large amount for their franchise fee. a lot of royalties as well. I don't have insurance experience so that's the reason I was thinking of buying the franchise. I do have sales and customer service am bringing my cousin who is also a Million Dollar salesperson for a furniture shore. how can I open independent without a franchise? I do not want to do State Farm, Allstate etc.,

Great video. I’ve been looking at Renegade insurance due to currently making the transition back home to Florida. What a wild market Florida is! From what I’ve done so far, there’s virtually no way to get direct appointments in Florida without being apart of some sort of franchise. Thoughts?
