I have an older version of Sony Vegas that's giving me nothing but problems. I was ushered to PowerDirector 13 but wasn't sure if I could do the same editing as Vegas. I'm sold!!! I love the interface, the effects available, and the simplicity. Thanks for the review!

Had PD 10 and computer couldn't handle it. But bought 13 and it is a smooth experience even with my 1.43g processor. Very happy. I have used Vegas as my go to, but lost my disc. For the price it works great.

Hi. Can you help me here. I usually download Music concerts from You Tube and put to Cyberlink PD to make a DVD. For the first time however, I have a particular problem, and hope you can help. I downloaded a 60 minute music concert, and for the first time I noticed it was unusually large. (Approx 9.63GB of download). It was a 4K UHD upload. I put the file downloaded file to Power Director, but firstly when I try to split tracks, the curser will move to the end. There are many times that the video picture pauses but the audio still plays. I looked at the preview of the DVD I wanted to make, and the end result would be out of sync. I am using Smart fit, but I even have dual layer discs, but I dont think this is the problem. Does the video have to be compressed, or should I even contact the video uploader. It seems all their videos are don this way. Hope you can help

Is this program the equivalent to the Sony Vegas 13? Like can I make moving captions, insert multiple pictures and make them move along zoom and out of the video as well? and in this editing software there is green screen effects correct?

I downloaded the free trial for Power Director and I really liked it. It was a little buggy though and I think it's because my computer is a getting old. I am going to upgrade my RAM, add a SSD and upgrade my graphics card. Right now I am running a Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 and I read where Power Director isn't supporting the latest Nvidia drivers for some reason. Does anyone have any recommendations for a graphics card that works well for this program? I am leaning toward going with a Radeon since the Nvidia drivers aren't supported. I want to spend around $150 if possible.

PowerDirector 14 is out now. Under Ultimate, are all of these supposed to be installed already or do I need to install a separate bundle. I don't see half of the things you have in your list.
