Under-roasted coffee was pretty common in the 90's. They'd call it "white coffee." Tastes kinda nutty.

there's a coffee chain in the PNW that sells espresso like this, it's commonly referred to as "white coffee", and it's extremely strong in terms of caffeine content. People who don't really like coffee will order it in a mocha or whatever because it's easy to mask the flavor of.

Using a power drill for a coffee grinder makes me happy because for some reason, I want to use a power drill to do the most unnecessary things like attaching a spoon it it to stir something that does not need to be stirred very strongly 😂

This was probably the most caffinated shot of espresso ever.

Try roasting, unroasted, ground coffee. Maybe it tastes good because it has more surface area to roast? Def have to roast at a low temp though. I don't think anyone has tried this before at least in video. Would be pretty cool.

Yes you need actual stone to grind it. But green coffee brewed like a tea still tastes a bit grassy, earthy but weirdly hits a spot for me... And it helps diabetic to control the insulin. It hinders sugar to get into your blood too fast. And some more beneftis for weight loss. Its fantastic.

I always had this question but never had the guts and means to do it!! Thanks for answering for all of us curious espresso makers

What if you were to dehydrate the beans first? Maybe they would grind more easily.

You need to try the Arabic coffee in Saudi Arabia, which is normally prepared using green coffee beans, and it's really delicious when you have it with dates.

Its a miracle what heat does to green beans. I have coffee in my cupboard from all over the world and I am amazed at the individual nuances each time I have some.

I like that we've been roasting the coffee for thousands of years and you were like "I wonder if there's a reason?"

I sew Chinese tea culture has infiltrated coffee culture 👾 The little vessel you use for measuring the the coffee on the scale is actually used in Chinese ea ceremonies 😁 Although it can definitely be used for more things than that

One of the first things I did when I bought green beans was tasting them. And yes, they tested like grass. The maillard reactions are amazing! They turn those grass tasting things into amazing tasting and smelling things.

PSA - This will ruin your home grinder, don’t try it. Raw coffee can also have stones on it which can further ruin your grinder.

This is how we buy our coffee especially during Ramadan but we roast it first. Then grind it with cardamom. The smell is heaven 😋

Green coffee beans in capsule from was a weight loss craze for a while. It is not the caffeine but the chlorogenic acid that pushes the bile that is the star. More bile should help you digest and have a better bowel movement. (Which also might make you more hungry.) The thing with coffee is the caffeine is chemically bonded to the chlorogenic acid, so you get caffeinated bile. There may be also be other forms of caffeine and chlorogenic acid in lesser amounts in the coffee beans complex chemistry.

I would have french pressed that green bit.
