in my tb it's given that both dil. hcl and dil. h2so4 can be used to prep hydrogen, but not hno3. so why did you say that h2so4 is not used??

I think only nitric acid can't be used as it is a strong oxidizing agent
In viraj dalal 8th textbook it says sulphuric acid and hydrochloric acid can be used
Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong
