Hearing her fiancé passed away in an accident legitimately broke my heart. Could you imagine? Considering her entire situation, how hard it must have been to make genuine connections, to finally meet her partner, and get engaged…just for him to be taken from her. Life is cruel.

The twins were Lori and Dorie. Dorie had the Spina Bifida. Dorie changed her name to Reba and had a short singing career. Then Reba identified as male and changed name to George. Lori was the one who carried or pushed George on the elevated platform cart. An interesting pair of twins and quite a life shared.

I saw them on TV many times growing up through the years. They inspired so many people just by being themselves. How many of us will ever get up and sing in front of a crowd without an ounce of fear? The first time I ever saw them, I was young, @ an age where I was too nervous to simply place a take out-for fear of talking to another human, ridiculous but very common. Seeing them, changed all of that for me. Mothers and Fathers, please build up your children 2day. Show them they can do things successfully, teach them they are fully capable of doing a lot, all by themselves. Confidence & kindness will carry them far in this crazy life.
If I had the strength in just one of their pinky fingers, know I’d be much happier and in a better place in my life. I know they had many moments of great pain most can’t imagine. But…if u go back and just watch how unbelievably positive they both were to their core. Something to behold, to strive for. I’ll remember them, and try to be more like them, until my last day.

I was confused for a second how they were different genders, but one of them being trans is so cool. Transitioning as a conjoined twin must be interesting. It's sad they died, but amazing that they lived so long. I read up on them and they seemed like cool people.

I'm asking out of genuine curiosity here, but has there ever been a case where one conjoined twin died and the other was able to live? I'm not talking about separation surgery. Just for whatever reason one twin dies.
