Was a no pet person my whole life…single and on the road a lot. I had just retired when a feral tortoise cat showed up on my porch that I started to feed. Two years later Buddi lives on my porch in the house I built. The heating pads keep her warm in the winter. I took her to the vet (no easy task getting her in a cage) for shots and a tag. She still won’t come in the house even after I made it cat friendly. She is happy to take walks with me in the neighborhood and stay right by me without a leash. Hopefully one day she will be come a house cat, but my guess she will always be outdoors. It’s what she knows.

I remember my dad found a small black kitten at the laundromat while waiting for my mother to finish up laundry. My dad brought that kitten home. We all loved that cat. That cat was especially fond of my dad. ❤😻
