A couple things I would add:
• Window seats often have less room under the seat in front of you (due to curvature of the fuselage), so if you large a fairly large bag to stow there that can really hamper your legroom.
• When choosing which side of the plane to sit (especially with a window seat, and especially if early or late in the day) I like to figure which side the sun will be on, so I can avoid possibly getting baked while still having a view.

I'm an Aisle person. I also keep an eye on my seats, if I book a long way out. I've had the airline change plane types and move my seat randomly prior to my flight.

Very great advice. I fly internationally at least yearly, and your tips are on point.

I've been on a few long haul flights already but I still found this very helpful :)

I’m a front-of-the-plane girl. I want off as quickly as possible. We mostly fly SWA, so I know I will probably get a middle seat, and I’m ok with that on a 2.5 hr flight. We’re flying international next month, and chose seats toward the back, aisle and window. We’ll see if it was a good strategic decision.

I always choose exit row since I fly 15 hours at a stretch . Plus I'm 6'1" so long legs are murder anyplace else. Have to put in my experience however. I take Ambien to sleep . Never was told I can't sleep on plane exit row seats with any asian airline so far.. Drinking as well not sure of. As guy next to me there was wasted and they kept giving him alcohol.

I’m a fan near wing don’t care if it’s isle window middle. Love bulk head and exit row for leg room but you loose your under seat bag area and my purse is that big

I am a short distance solo traveler with not a very good eyesight. I am someone who prefer to choose to book seat in advance will be 'aisle' seat is/were be my first choice, if I did not book any seat in advance, I just hope I did/do not get a middle seat and it better to have window seat than in the middle one but I try to tell/told the check-in counter staff and try to explain to him/her my prefer and problem I have. Recently my last flight I was offered and given seats that mention 'Starter' seat, not sure what it means written on my Flight tickets by the check-in counter staffs as I did not book as special needs person, in the airport.

Expecting a bit much not to sleep on a 17 hour flight if you're in the exit aisle

And you can also fly out the window, hence the Southwest Airlines accident.

One very frustrating scenario is when I see petite young women weighing around 90 lbs, seated in an emergency exit row. It's concerning because the weight of the emergency exit door likely surpasses theirs, raising doubts about their ability to handle the door during an emergency. Despite flight attendants asking them if they're willing to take on the responsibility, their affirmative responses does not reflect their true readiness, potentially posing a safety risk to everyone in a real emergency situation. To this day I have yet to see a woman pull out and review the emergency pamphlets which explains the proper operations of the emergency door as suggested by the flight attendants. Some say, "what about old or petite men?" If an old man is incapable or handicapped in any way, he is not allowed to sit in an exit row. As for a petite man, he'll still have much more upper body strength than that of a petite young woman.

Why are you talking about the front of the plane, when this video is about "economy class"? Otherwise thanks for the information. PS, I like your nail polish.

The front is quieter but less survivable. I used to fly wing span for stability, it also means fewer full seats.

I now avoid long walks! As for non reclining seats lately I haven’t seen much difference now.

When I sit in the aisle on long flights I try to get up to let others out.

Right now I’m working on how to get in and out of a seat with my arm in a sling! I think I’m stuck in bulkhead but some the are too narrow because of the trays. Fortunately my next trip is short.

There IS no "best seat" in economy class.

if you don't wear masks on the airplane you are risking certain death. Please wear your mask on the airplane!
