It was at 5 pm in the evening. I was a visitor in London and l needed to go to the supermarket. For some unknown reason, as l opened the front door to leave the house, l felt unusually anxious. l came back in, and l made The Sign of The Cross. As l stepped out, a car came from nowhere, at great speed, and it went on to the pavement, crashing into a lamppost in front of me. Had l not stopped for these few seconds to make The Sign of The Cross, that car would have hit me. It is a hugely powerful prayer of protection.

Love learning this. My mother is in Hospice. She can’t speak and is disabled except for some movement in her hands. She is still able to make the sign of the cross, a demonstration to all that witness of the beauty and strength of her faith.
