Deer Attractant RANT! Does Any of This Really Work?

Salt and dicalcium phosphate mixed in a 2:1 ratio and a trophy rock is what I use for mineral sites. Works extremely well

Out here in Northern California we don’t have high fence crap and we get to hunt the blacktail and according to your fellow Canadian Jim shockey it’s the hardest deer species to hunt. Leave that to the Texas guys who hunt like a trout mere

Been deer hunting for 11years now and 10years on my own property. Started with feeding corn/oats and mixing in those fancy products or apples. Apples when temps aren't freezing and corn when the temps drop. Those products all work, but none of them are magic. They don't make a spike buck into a 10pt over night. You need genetics and you need to pass on younger deer. Shooting a 3.5 or 4.5 year old means you never get to see the full potential.

I switched to food plots and mineral fountains now. Clover plot on one side, turnip on one side, and a mineral site i keep going all year. Much cheaper then buying those endorsed products and much better for all the animals!!

I make my own mineral mix. I also have found that Whitetail Institute 30-06 loose or block works very well.

The most success I've ever had was with "Buck Bomb". I love Buck Bomb product.

I got 16 pounds of deer attracting supplement for 10 dollars on sale at homehardware and a big blue salt block for 5 dollars i hope it works

I've been using Buck grub beast feast and getting pretty good results

Yeah, apples are great. A friend put in a clover plot last year. Wow, deer everywhere. Rabbits too actually
