California will not align with new CDC mask guidance until June 15, officials say

California officials say the state isn’t ready to follow the federal lead and unmask, at least for another month. The state’s health director announced Monday that California will require people to keep wearing masks and distancing indoors until June 15. Dr. Mark Ghaly says the nation’s most populous state needs time to adjust and vaccinate more people before officials allow fully vaccinated people to skip face coverings in virtually all situations. Verally attacking an employee for doing his job and then posting it on social media is pretty disgusting. If Schroder, or anyone else objects to Costco's policies, they have the option of shopping elsewhere. Berating the employee tasked with the unenviable job of ''mask patrol'' smacks of entitlement on Schroder's part.

Dr. Ghaly is TOO conservative, TOO careful. Public health policy is never about getting down to ZERO cases. He's blind to all the collateral damage caused by the restrictions. Also, if masks were so effective, then why do places in Asia (where they have like 99% masking rate) still have cases???
