Great tutorial Kenny. Considering most producers especially young people nowadays resort doing everything with MIDI as the top 2 videos on your channel are MIDI related, this is THE part where IMHO Reaper needs a lot more updates, attention and love etc. Some nice MIDI - Producer focused features, improved RS5K sampler, drum machine, more midi effects, more modulator stuff and easy way to drag n drop modulate everything, maybe improved ReaSynth and more VST Instruments built in etc.

Currently I'm using a lot of community made scripts to compensate for that and I'm very happy with the MIDI editor but I'd definitely appreciate some more love from the developers in this part of Reaper, especially if they'd just add some of the script features in default Reaper midi editor; like ability to add chords, scales (more than default) and arpeggios, built in arpeggiator, chord detector, note randomizer just to name a few. Of course other producer focused features like a better built in step sequencer (instead of a plugin like Megababy or 3rd party) and a clip launcher would completely change the game for Reaper but one can only hope.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about Reaper, I've been using Reaper for quite sometime now and before that I've used pretty much every major DAW like Ableton, FL, Bitwig, S1, Cubase etc. and I have some of them installed on my PC but I choose to use Reaper everything simply because of the flexibility and customization. But since nothing is perfect in this world, there are times when I feel the lack of some producer related features that pulls me out of Reaper which I'd love to be changed in the future. Please Justin.

Man, your channel is amazing. I always wanted to like Reaper but never found any decent tutorials on it. Thanks to you I can actually learn this DAW without plowing through pages of text and forum discussions.
You are an excellent teacher 👌🏻

Wow!
Kenny - You are the best!
Veeeery helpful!
Day 2 of using actually functional interface drivers on my way to Rock & Roll song completion. & I may not need a 3rd! [Did not expect to understand so much after so few tutorials watched. Yesterday {to say nothing of past year where i rec'd w/naught but a single mic, an outdated analog sensibility, & standard Win driver that did not allow for multiple input recognition} was ...frustrating. lol. Not so much today. & that previous condition of confusion and strain is alleviated mightily - exponentially, even Thanks to thee & again!]

Hey man, first of all - great job on these videos. I'm thinking of switching from Pro Tools to Reaper and your videos are so easy to watch (I usually find myself skipping a lot in tuts, but you get straight to the point and very clearly!). Your tutorials are easily among the best I've ever seen, maybe even the best. I just have one suggestion - all the audio you play in reaper is a bit loud compared your voice (not too loud, but when watching at night where I have to keep the volume low I have to keep adjusting the volume). I don't know if I'm alone in feeling this way, but it just seems like a small adjustment that might make it a bit more pleasant to watch. :) But other than that, - absolutely brilliant! And hank you so much for these! You're a great tutor!

Thank you. It would have been good to explain how to solve latency issues, though.

Hello! I am new to the channel and also a new REAPER user. I come from FL Studio that I have been using it for many years, my intention is to improve the workflow in terms of mixing voices, which is what I have dedicated myself to the most. There is a function in FL that if I double-click on the audio, a window opens and I can directly automate the audio form without any plugin. Can I do that here at Reaper? Speaking of other things, I wanted to tell you that I appreciate your effort to share your knowledge about reaper

Hi guys, I was wondered about colour notes in midi takes (in this video from time 05:42). Could you tell me please, is that some kind of .js script or is it native Reaper feature? Thanks

Hey men, hope you will be fine.
I have a vocal inside the reaper and it is not actually on the beat. Vocal is little bit out from the tempo. Some words are on the beat and some are not. Is there any way to fix the tempo of vocal manually and turn it on the beats?
