I thought you'd like a look at this nicely restored 1929 Ford Model A Roadster. It has been restored to original condition and is still powered by the flathead four cylinder. It is in great condition all the way around and even has the rumble seat out back. We started it up and took it for a little spin, just so you could see what they sound like. I hope you find it interesting...thanks for watching!

They were built pretty simply back then, but it's actually a little more challenging to start up and drive. Thanks for taking a look!

When I was 16 (back in 1958) I took my driving test on a 1929 Ford-A in my country (Chile).

The '29 Ford Model A roadster was my daddy's very first automobile . . and how my brother and I loved to ride in the rumble seat!
Dad bought his Model A Roadster "used", paying $25 back in those WWII days. Many miles later, at war's end, Daddy repainted it (brown) with a paint brush . . .
and actually re-sold it for the grand sum of $100.00

Yes, very similar. To start them, you pull the parking brake towards you. Then you turn on the gas, which is under the pass side dash. Then you push the spark advance lever all the way up. Next, you pull the throttle lever(which is on the column) down about a third of the way. Then you turn the Carburetor Adjusting Rod to the right, which is fully closed, then turn it back to the left about 1 turn. Next, you put the gear shifter in neutral. While turning the key you pull back on the choke... :)

Sounds quieter outside than in the car. If you get an opportunity, I'd really like to see how those rumble seat work. Just a thought.

I haven't been on YT too much lately. If you post a rumble seat vid please send it to me? I don't want to miss it!

You'd have definitely been cool, riding around in one of these back in the day. Thanks for watching!

Where are you? A little worried as we have not had a video from you in a while.

Driving them is even more strange...too much to think about for me. You have to slowly double clutch on each gear change, adjust the spark advance manually for different speed and load conditions, etc...
