A cat and turtle, a snowman and santas bag of presents - fun crafts for the holidays and crafts for great heartwarming gifts to a loved one or yourself even!
Hand knit a gorgeous pumpkin designed with multi fall, festive colors using the tying method. This tutorial teaches you how to hand it with changing through different colors using the easiest and quickest method chunky knit it with jumbo size 7 chenille yarn, but this pattern can easily be made with size 6 bulky in my other tutorial I use loops and threads royal velvet yarn, which I highly recommend. It is wonderful to work with and perfect for finger knitting as it is thick and it offers a nice durability and weight to it. This adorable fall pumpkin I made it to fit Fall festivity, and reminds me of the candy corns. This is tutorial three in hand crocheting our candy corn pumpkin.
The pumpkin will be small sized however, I am simply teaching you the technique. Once learn you can go as big or many as you want.
Warning: Please have your hot glue gun ready towards the end of the project as it used for attaching and securing the stem and any imperfections. Also to watch the short tutorial video on connecting chunky yarn when hand crocheting.
Pattern: (my pattern I worked up but once learned the technique there is no right or wrong when it comes to knitting pumpkins and how big or small you want it)
Cast on 10 (in yellow)
Knit 2 rows of yellow
Use tying method (simply tie a knot, with the two ends of your colored yarns) and knit 3 rows of orange
Use the time method again to connect your orange yarn with the sparkle white and net for 3 rows
Cast off
Use glue gun to secure in stem(s)
(Any imperfections use a glue gun and apply glue in the gap and a piece of same colored yarn stuffing in the gap, gone)
Materials:
Chenille yarn (sparkle white from Walmart, yellow discontinued)
Stem (From Amazon)
Glue Gun
Polyfil
