I believe it's time to ramp up cash flow and production, or I fear the collapse of the rebellions entirely.
The rebellions ground armies are having trouble working cohesively. I think a revamp of the entire ground military of the rebellion is necessary. Good luck shack, you're gonna need it 🫡

RIP Imperial General Heget, in his Juggernaut. He tried to conquer Ord Mantell, but landed his infantry first and watched them get slaughtered before retreating. On Atzerri, he sent an even bigger ground force into a trench battle, and his army was repulsed with horrible casualties. Finally, at Kashyyyk he actually landed during his most one-sided defeat yet. ...and got stuck in a sand-bank. The Rebellion should give him a state funeral with full honours!

As irritated as I am with having never taken the Wheel… Kashyyk was truly impressive. I can’t believe he won that.

You need to invest alot more into manufacturing bases and freighters allowing more goods to be transported including cash! This will help you get the cash you need to rebuild!

Build a Level 3 space station on Kuat It will give you the ability to build a Mandator class Dreadnought which is more powerful than Home One.

If you make the Mandator you should hit the Wheel, because with that ship you will have enough fire power to overpower the Wheel defense fleet. Just give that ship some support.

An arty unit or two would be amazing on Kashyyk it would have ended the battle in half the time.

Luke was very close to being killed and i could see so clearly the mission popping up to rescue him from CorSec. Poor Kyle could have used a buddy

Honestly, the whole situation with the Executor over Kashyyyk is pretty straightforward: You have the tiger by the tail, you are too late to back down. Attack now, or lose the war.

You attack it, get to chose what fleet comp you start with, and maybe win. Or you get scared, it attacks your fleet, and you get a bad fleet comp and lose the game. This is the sort of situation where "He Who Dares Wins" was made for. You have the ability to tailor what comes in first to handle the carrier battle. Or maybe you want to try and throw the Dauntless and artillery ships in first to try and blitz the escort carriers before they get mulched. The important thing is that you must go into the battle with control of engagement.

The Executor is forced to attack you because you've got it trapped. The only way to friendly lines is through Onderon, through your main fleet. If it tries to break out in any other direction, it will go through a bunch of lighter Rebellion defenses that have the possibility to strip its escorts. And ideally that would be good, more space station battles where those lighter forces get worn down, but you have no ability to force those unfavorable engagements except by attacking with the main fleet. Even if you just left Onderon, you can't fully guarantee that the Executor would go there and just flee back to deeper territory.

You must attack now. You have put yourself past the point of no return. There is no safe or pleasant way out, only a victory condition of "I have no Star Dreadnought and now neither do you".

Question to the Comment section: Are we basically the War Council through this whole Playthrough?

Orbital bombardments can’t be used if you have a shutter shield. So planets like Kashyyyk don’t have to worry about them as much

54:39 Those carry TIE Punishers. ONE is the equivalent of FOUR TIE Bombers. Maybe let this one go, mass up all the sub-corvette craft & Brah-Toks and strike the Executor when it shows up with a weaker complement.

The best of campaigns are the ones where you actually feel like your going to fail, makes victory all the more memorable. cant wait to see rebel victory

Tk-1158 journal entry #6:
It’s been a while since I’ve written one of these but no time like the present.

My scouting team and I are being redeployed from the Hoth sector to Anaxes, to my home. When I got the reports of the rebels capturing Kaut I… I began to worry. Two to three jumps away from home.

Most other imperial soldiers are fully ready to fight and die for the emperor, but after the first battle of Kashyyyk I started to lose faith in the Emperor and his might. My family is seemingly having the same thoughts. Especially after the second battle of Kashyyyk. My Uncle a recent enlisted Army trooper was thrown into the fire alongside my sister who had just passed the pilot academy. She was shot down before she could even take off. However she survived, my uncle wasn’t as lucky. He was left behind after being shot by a rebel sniper and its unknown if he’s still alive or dead.

Apparently I’m being ‘promoted to Shock trooper’ but I don’t know if I can even fight anymore. After all the pain the Empire has inflicted upon my family, I don’t believe I can fight for them anymore. Mother if war comes to our home make sure father doesn’t join the local militia. The rebels will most likely show no mercy.

Captain's Log #34. Gret job commander at capturing Kuat and stopping a second SSD. Its all well and good but I fear with our fleets at such continuous battle that we may find ourselves weakened. Not to mention I doubt the Empire will jsut allow us to keep Kuat without a cost or just taking it back. I suggest we regroup on Cato. I must be going now. I have been missioned with talking to Mon Mothma on getting some aid. I must be going now. And commander, don't let this get to your head...good work. Admiral Pisces out.

To Captain Shack: The shutter shield on kashyyyk can prevent Bombardment and Air strikes from the enemy. As long as your forces are under its area of effect, you are somewhat safe.

Rogue Squadron Journal
Week 195 - Iridonia
Lt. Witton Bogre - Rogue 4

The last couple of weeks have seen major engagements in the South, all headed up by the SSD. Rogue Squadron's supply run to Ord Mantell was a success but we did take casualties, losing one transport and two members of Rogue Squadron. Hosh was shot down during our attack and Dak was forced to crash land on the planet. Thanks to General Rieekan we know he survived. Our attack on the SSD was also a success, far more than we wanted it to be, at least at the time.

Rogue Squadron's reputation preceded it and we drew a full salvo of fire. We learned first hand that fighters are indeed the best attack option, however even a mass attack will incur many losses. Rogue Squadron was also able to map out the best attack routes in the superstructure to maximize the chances of survival. We even managed to destory one of the ship's bridge deflector towers. Against that monster, it was more akin to vandalism than actual damage but we made a powerful statement nonetheless. It CAN be hurt.

I suspect that's why it was pulled from Ord Mantell to reek havoc in the south, and to flee from Rogue Squadron. From what I hear it has been cut off from imperial space by the main rebel fleet at Kashyyyk after leading an attack there. There's also been talk of transferring Rogue Squadron to the Southern fleet to help lead the attack on the SSD but command is still gathering forces and is very skittish about engaging it. We'll have to wait and see what comes next.
