Friday Freakout: Skydiver Catches Premature Parachute Parachute Opening In Plane Door!

As this group of skydivers was setting up in the door for a sit train exit, one of the jumpers had their pilot chute dislodged and it caught wind! Luckily the jumper at the front of the group instinctively grabbed the pilot chute whizzing by his head and they all got back in the plane without a premature opening. Nice catch!

Nothing like taking out the side of a perfectly go air plane not to mention the pain and humiliation that comes with it.

Never should have come back in the plane.

This is why I do no enjoy exiting the plane with 3-4 people all outside.

Im still student, so I'll ask you. Is it allowed in such situation togo to front of plane and quickly pack pilot chute again, if jumper agrees?

Since repacking on the plane wouldn't be ideal, think you could just jump holding on to your pilot and bridal?

Just get the freefly handle, it is far more secure with all the tabs in place. Less chance of something like this happening.
