A reunion video of animals with humans is always heartwarming and full of emotions. These moments showcase the deep bond that can form between animals and people, highlighting loyalty, trust, and affection. It's amazing to see how animals remember those who took care of them, even after long periods of separation. Their reactions, whether it's a dog wagging its tail excitedly or a cat rubbing affectionately against its human, remind us of the pure and unconditional love animals are capable of giving. Watching these reunions can truly restore faith in the beautiful connection between humans and animals.😊

When you know you can trust powerful beasts like lions and tigers to just lunge at you and not hurt you, you've done something right

4:19 My late mother had a Border Collie she had trained as a therapy dog for hospital patients. The last few months of her life, she was in either the hospital or a skilled nursing facility so I got the dog re-license and would bring her into the hospital every day. It helped Mom through her illness and let her get back home before she passed. She didn't want to die in the hospital and, thanks to her dog, she didn't. This was in 2017. The dog finally passed away two days ago. They'll be reunited shortly. My sister is having the dog cremated and we're going to spread her ashes on top of Mom's grave. They loved each other so. It's only right.

Me, I'm a horse person so I was HIGHLY surprised when I was in the hospital in January 2023 for two weeks due to septicemia, a systemic bacterial blood infection (blood poisoning), and the nurses brought in an actual horse to my room. I missed my own horses so bad, they brought me a therapy horse, not a miniature or a pony but a full-on HORSE into my room for me to love on. Then they had to spray me down and make sure I was thoroughly cleaned afterward lest I get more bacteria into my bloodstream (serious Klebsiella infection that took a month of IV antibiotics to finally kill) but it was totally worth it. If you're wondering, horses make excellent therapy animals, can be trained to ride in elevators, wear special antimicrobial hoof covers, get shaved so they can easily be cleaned prior to interacting with patients, and learn how to hold their pee and poop until they go back outside. I met the horse later after I got out of the hospital and he was/is so well-mannered. He's a real sweetie. I laughed with his handler because she knew the horses I had at the time and we giggled over the idea of my draft horse riding an elevator. Yeah, no. I was out of the hospital and all my own horses wanted to know was that they were itchy, they wanted grooming, and where was dinner. Loved those boys. Sadly, one passed away a week after I got home (he was 34 and had lived a dynamic life) and the other went back to his legal owner (he was my old horse's companion) so I no longer have them. I miss them, though.

10:38 The man in this video is Nigel Marvin. He's a zoologist who has collaborated with Impossible Pictures and the Walking With Dinosaurs crew many times. I love his work.

Speaking of my mom, I inherited her cats after she died, one of whom just wasn't really settling in. One of my sisters sent me a cushion that cat loved because it smelled like our mom. I opened the box, put the cushion out and the cat gave it a sniff then literally mashed his face into the cushion and stayed that way for quite some time, breathing in the scent of Mom and "home". It took him just under a year to finally decide I was okay to live with and to open up to me but having that cushion for him to go sniff and cuddle with helped him grieve her passing. (The other cat thinks I'm God on two legs because I give her the attention she didn't get at Mom's. She was always last in line after the dog and the cat mentioned above, so when she moved here and realized there was no dog, and that each cat would have a person of their own, she blossomed and now she's firmly mine, or rather I'm firmly hers.)
