You can easily knit this beautiful baby cardigan sweater smaller or bigger by simply changing your needle size and making it in the exact same way as this tutorial (see below) with same stitch count and same number of rows. Just remember that these sizes are not exact since not all babies are the same size and since tension varies from person to person which can affect the final size. SIZES:
NB use a 2mm needles with #3, DK or 8 ply yarn
0-3M use a 2.5mm needles with #3, DK or 8 ply yarn
3-6M use a 3mm needles with #3, DK or 8 ply yarn
6-9M use a 3.5mm needles with #3, DK or 8 ply yarn
9-12M use a 4mm needles with #3, DK or 8 ply yarn

*1-2Yrs use a 4.5mm needles with #4, Aran or 10 ply yarn
*2-3Yrs use a 5mm needles with #4, Aran or 10 ply yarn
*3-4Yrs use a 5.5mm needles with #4, Aran or 10 ply yarn

Materials used:
*Needle size= 3mm circular needles (32in long)
*Yarn= Sugarwheel Cotton #3 yarn in color #130 Paris Mornings (142g /335 yrd /306 meters). You can also use DK or 8 ply
Note: To get the colors to match I did color controlling with this brand of yarn
*Button size: Seven 12mm size
*Approx. Gauge: 2in = 22 rows / 11.5 sts with 3mm needles

I’m very new to knitting. I’ve done hats, scarfs and blankets but this is my first cardigan. I keep making a mistake on the fourth row and end up with five stitches where you have 6 and so my row is only 63 stitches. I’m going to take it to my gran to see if she can sort it for me but I’m thinking I’m making a mistake in yarn over.
