don't be afraid to make things "girly" for your son! one thing I was grateful for while growing up was the neutrality of clothing or toys I had, as it stopped some kinds of biases in me... if you want to knit up a delicate cardigan, knit up a delicate cardigan! best of luck to you and your baby <3 and thank you for all the patterns, bethany

Talking about onesie's, it was actually pretty easy for us to put them on until 6-7 months, when our daughter started crawling... then the moving around and not wanting to hold still started.

I'm also knitting for baby right now and I was tickled by how many of the patterns you list that I've either finished or bookmarked. The Bear hat turned our super cute and I think it would be easily modified for other animals.

I have three granddaughters (8mos, 2 &4). Just wanted to send support and encouragement for that cute sausage dog draught stopper. I made a striped draught stopper for my door, nothing fancy, just used up some scraps…and they all LOVE playing with it! Make it 👍

the purl soho soft cotton washcloths are such a joy to knit!! they’re a super good way to learn linen stitch (I didn’t know it before I made these) and they’re also a great stash buster if you have random single skeins of cotton lying around! :-)

I highly recommend seeing if you can find some knitted gown patterns for baby! For my boys as newborns they always wore those super long gowns & all you have to do is pull them up to change them they’re amaaaazziingggg & would be so cute & easy to knit

My cousin is expecting his second baby in July, so a huge THANK YOU because I couldn't decide what to knit for his new son! I simply could not resist the sausage dog. It had to be the sausage dog.

I knit a lot of drops patterns, and most of the ones you have on this list, I have actually recently knitted up or I am in the process of knitting them up! In regards to drops sky (I am making the Sweet Gleam cardigan), it is not a yarn I would purchase again! It is a wool, alpaca and polyamide blend, very soft, but it constantly snags on my needles, and it is very stretchy so I find it difficult to have even tension, which is not something I usually struggle with. I do think my baby will be very comfortable in the cardigan when it is done, since it is very soft.
