I had a Goodman installed in my rental property some 12 years ago and it has been working without any issues. I recently replaced my home AC with a new Goodman and it was the most reasonably priced unit.

My husband and I purchased our home in 1997. It’s a one and a half story with AC units in both the basement and attic space. The unit in our attic, which was there when we moved in, finally gave out this past summer. It was a Goodman. Up until this past year, it had continued to cool just fine. We replaced it with another Goodman unit, as this company is the only one that manufactures the small unit we needed. We’re very hopeful this new unit will perform just as well. We live in central Alabama where warm/hot weather is the norm for eight months out of the year, so this AC has really had a workout over the years. It’s basically unheard of around here for any AC unit to last over 25 years! 😊

You could talk crap about every brand put there. Goodman is cheap if you don't install it professionally. Don't expect Tom in a Taco truck to warranty his work or ensure it is done well.

4:01 Really? 🤦‍♂️ Do you double-check your scripts before production? The GSX13 is a cooling condenser unit ❄, it is not a gas furnace 🔥. This video would be a lot more valuable if you had produced it from the lowest cost - basic featured GSX13 through the top-of-their-line inverter based GVXC20 (which contains a lot of Daikin technology) and described the features/benefits provided by each more expensive model.

Always having problems. I can't even find any information on the unit we purchased 2 1/2 years ago. I've tried looking up our model and it doesn't seem to exist. We paid $23, 000 for this piece of crap which includes replacing the ducts. WTH

I would never, ever buy another Goodman. I had a Trane that was Seer 10 and 20 years old. The compressor went out on a 98 degree day. Had a new Goodman Heat pump SEER 15 installed. The system from day one would make a loud clank each time it kicked on. My electric bills were 20% higher than the SEER 10 Trane. Goodman responded they cannot guarantee efficiency, it depends on many factors. In the first winter, it froze up and stopped heating. A board was bad that handles defrost. Part was free but labor was $120 and another $100 for same day response. Next winter, it breaks down again. Needed another board that controlled heat mode going to thermostat. Parts free -- again labor and service call nearly $200. In the third year, unit made a loud bang and lights in house blinked and unit went dead. Called Goodman qualified servicer who came out and compressor had blown apart and had a huge hole in the side. New compressor from Goodman was free but lost all refrigerant. Cost of labor was a few hundred dollars and replace refrigerant another $900. Funny, after replacing compressor, electric bill went down 20% or more so it was a bad compressor from the factory that had been making noise. Complained to Goodman again and no response or offer to make things right. They do not stand by their products and components are made in China and only assembled in USA. Total costs of repairs in first three years was nearly $1600. Goodman dealer himself said they have more calls on Goodman than any other unit.

DO NOT BUY GOODMAN AC UNITS, I purchased 2 units in 2016 (8 years ago), they gave me a Registration Certificate receipt with 10 years parts ALL PARTS warranty on paper under my name.
One of the units broke and I called to have warranty honored to find out they didn't want to honor it, their excuse was that the property on tax roll was under an LLC and the Certificate is under my name (Am the owner of property and president of LLC) but this is excuse to not honor warranty, they said that they're warranty and tax roll name must match, so they seem to warranty property not appliances, what a DO NOT BUY FROM THEM if you care about warranty.

Don't buy a Goodman. They are the absolute worst. My 10-year old system has needed 3 evaporator coils over this time span. They are $1500+ each. Spend a little extra up front and buy from a reputable company.

I have this unit, AC was not blowing cold air. The fan on the unit was on but there was not the familiar buzz of when the compressor is running. I turned everything off, opened the panel. I just wiggled the wires on top of the capacitor. They were not loose but thats all I did. when i turned everything back on, there was not cold air at first, but a few minutes later, cold air was blowing and the outside unit was buzzing with the sound of the compressor. Its been working fine overnight. My question is, should I just change the capacitor anyway or could it be an issue with the compressor itself? how do I figure that out? thanks!

Worst air conditioner I every had and it lasted less than 6 years before the compressor shorted out! Mine was the GSX13. By comparison my old Day & Night one lasted over 20 years! Don't buy a Goodman brand! It's wimpy and designed poorly! I had it professionally installed and both the indoor and outdoor units were installed too. I recently found out that my retired neighbor installed Air Conditioners for the County most of his life, and he said he would never use the Goodman Brand because they were the worst of all the Air Conditioners. Sadly I found this out too late. Told Goodman on their Website about it's poor reliability and they never got back to me. Avoid this brand.

Customer be aware...new package units, lacking replacement components in-stock...borderline with false advertisement..6 months wait time in California, wonder what would the BBB, would say about that, horrible Customer support..try Carrier, or other brands....

This review is made by Goodman probably. They didn’t mention that is one of the worst rating AC brands in the market nowadays. Cheap??? That is NOT cheap, is extremely expensive for the values. IT DOESN’T WORK WELL AT ALL. On the house I live in, they had to replace the unit “TWICE” in one week!!! And guess what, it’s been a month and the stupid machine doesn’t cool during the day, which is the hottest and worst and it only cools off at night and only when is dark. On top of everything, STOPs working completely, if is too hot outside. The WORST AC BRAND ever. Furthermore, Expect your electric bill TRIPLE at the time you are using this unit, we paid in the hottest month ever $210 max, with this Goodman AC, we are paying more than $500+ a month already.
