KEEP your phone on airplane mode most mobile service companies offer "CELLULAR AT SEA" is a satellite-based cellular service, and you will be charged a lot in roaming fees. Also, if you're not planning to do much on your phone(internet-wise), you can sometimes rely on cellular data, especially on cruises where the ship stays close to the coast.

This is a great short video for first time cruisers. We are very grateful to you for the tips. One question that is bothering me is how to find the events or activities that are not part of the package we chose !!! Trying to avoid wasting time before hand instead showing up and finding the hard truth later.

Lots of great advice here. But here's what no one tells you really. And that is that a 'cruise' is essentially a week long competition between 4, 000 vacationers vying for limited resources. Veteran cruisers ARE going to be the winners and the newbies WILL be the losers. LOL
As a newbie it will seem as though you're always at the wrong place at the wrong time. You can never quite fit together eating dinner where you want and also make the 'show'. You'll stand in line more, eat to too early or too late, your State Room will vibrate and be a mile from the elevator.
Meanwhile, seasoned cruisers will seamlessly attend the prime time shows and activities and enjoy dinner(at dinner time) and then conveniently stroll right into the main show just in time! The cruise lines may not let you make dinner/show reservations until a certain date prior to sailing. Guess what? The seasoned cruisers have already beaten you to the punch.
In short, go punch those veteran cruisers in the face by planning every meal and show for every single day WAY AHEAD OF YOUR CRUISE DATE. lol

Thank you for the video! It was very helpful and informative. We are looking to book our first family cruise to the caribbean. We are a family of 4 with two kids (15 & 12). Most likely we will go with an inside cabin due to cost. Prices are per person on double occupancy. Does that mean that we would have to share a room for the 4 of us, or can we have 2 joint rooms fir the same cost? Thank you!

The way they talk about it makes it seem like they think we're all going on 2 week cruises when most are probably going on 4-5 nights

Hello I have a question about electronics if you bring a Bluetooth speaker should you put that in the security bin by itself when going through the apart. Great information 👍
