Loved how Paul just jumped in there, said his peace, and was like "Back to you Ted". 🤣🤣. I love the energy the both of you have together.

Thanks for Ramier and Paul! I have ridden many hundreds of miles in the rain on multiple solid tire scooters. I think they are fine if you are an experienced rider. For me it doesn't matter solid or pneumatic because you shouldn't be going very fast around corners regardless of tire choice. I have seen many wipeouts from guys riding hyper scooters in rear wheel drive mode taking corners to quickly. Thinking a pneumatic is going to save you is a false assumption and gives riders a false sense of confidence. In addition, the wet white paint, horribly slick yellow handicap sidewalk ramps, and oil slicks everywhere during rain also negates any additional traction you think you have with pneumatics. The key things to do is understand when your scooter is about to lose traction and keeping your center of gravity as low as possible with bent knees so you can shift your weight better and just be more balanced to begin with. I also think drum brakes are better in the rain as they don't start losing grip like discs. I ride the Mosquito, E-Twow GT, Dualtron Compact, and Inokim Light 2 perfectly fine in the rain. I just sealed up the display.

I ride a Phantom V2, Rain/snow/sun any weather. It has not failed me once. I've been riding since this past spring, and every day for work since I got it. Haven't had a single accident, sometimes it comes down to how you ride, and if you take the right precautions going into it. My thing with rain, is always make sure your brakes are good to go, never want em slipping.

I can vouch the Ninebot Max. Accidentally I fully submerged mine going through a bike tunnel that was flooded. Both tires were below water for 20 feet or so, it's still rocking without any issues. Have just above 3000 miles on it and ride it daily in all kinds of weather.

Segway ninebot max: mostly driven in the slush and snow up here in Canada. Put on snowboard gear and zip ties on the tires and I can scoot to work in blizzards down to -40 in comfort. Only spun leading to a drop once last winter. Gotta be a lil bit careful with the charge port and it makes a mess if you thaw it out under the desk in the office. At home it has a garage. Great all weather rider imo!!

I bought a Ninebot Max in November and I have been very happy with its performance in Portland rain. I have to go slower than normal around turns in the rain, but it is pretty stable at 29kmph when just riding on streets.

I’ve ridden the Apollo Explore and have never had any issues in the rain. When I opened my deck, I was surprised to see how clean and well sealed it was.

you can watertight your scooter pretty easily with some sealant. Mine has sat out in a storm for hours without an issue.

Thanks for all the information! Avoid riding in the rain as much as possible! Unless it's absolutely necessary to go to work or get groceries! Stay safe!

I'm a bigger dude who just had his vehicle go out. Got looking at it and I live close to work and stores (luckily) and this video helped to sell me on getting an electric scooter. I was worried about rain but I think I can work around it using this. Cheers!

Thanks ESG crew! I had been waiting for this list ever since posting on the forum about a this very topic. The only rain tip I can provide is wear a water proof/resistant jacket and maybe bring along some plastic bags to cover your dash screen and buttons when you ride(NOT the brakes, throttle or hand grips). Oh don't forget gloves cuz your fingers can get numb and mess with your "feel" during rainy rides.

I used to own an inokim super 3 back in 2020. I have ridden it in very hard rain and it was still perfect. Keep in mind i clean the dust and grime and finish with wd-40 every weekend

The Emove Cruiser has always been on my wish list . . .. I concur with your view on that one for wet conditions.
My X7 Pro does the job for me now but I'd avoid taking out in the rain.
Wet road/manhole covers, painted areas, and oil contaminated areas from leaky cars or trucks definitely are rainy day hazards for two wheel riders.
