This is great for commuting around at a large college campus.

Can't see why something so practical should be viewed as just a toy. They're cool.

I'm 59 and use an A5 for the final leg of my commute. I could walk the last mile, but why? Scooting is fun, the breeze feels sublime, I whiz past others on foot, my students think I'm a boss, and finally, why do you care what people think anyway. Live your life.

Wow all this talk about age, people 18 or 20s and asking if they are too old. I am 55 YEARS OLD and I just ordered one for commuting 1.8 miles. I already surf, swim, run, bike, etc. This will be fun.

One reason most adults aren't as happy as kids is because they forget the fun they experienced as children so who cares if you look silly IT'S FUN AND MAKES YOU HAPPY and that's worth all the stares.

I've had the A5 for about 5 years and it is great. I use it for keeping up with the kids or to get from the bus to my buddies houses for drinking sessions. Yes, I do get some funny looks and verbal abuse from my fellow drunkards when I'm scooting through the centre of town at 3am to catch my bus back to the burbs. But if someone thinks you're weird for using a practical form of transport, the problem is in their head, not yours.
These things are great on the flat, and downhill is like free money, but with steep up hill I just get off an push.

In grade 7 and 8, I used to ride my scooter to school. My school was roughly a mile away, 15-20 minutes to walk. The scooter probably made it 10 minutes, and much more fun either way. It also folded nicely and fit in my locker, which kept it safe and out of the rain. My school wasn't far enough to really bother with biking, although I did that a few times, too. I just preferred locker storage over keeping a bike locked up outside where it could get stolen or rained on.

I can't skate or rollerblade.
I can bike.

Kick scooter is the best compromise for me.

I live in Dubai and when i went out to buy an adult kick scooter with big wheels, I found few, and each time the sales person thought i was buying it for my kid. "no adults actually use a kick scooter sir, only the electric ones".

Finally managed to get one at the Chinese market for $50...I'm supremely happy amd now both me and my son go scooting around. I'm also the only 40 year old dad with the kids in the skate park!

I keep my Razor A5 in the back of my car. It's a fun way to explore new city areas. Also handy for getting back home after I leave my car overnight at the shop and bus late-night frequency drops to zero; walking a bit far and putting on bicycle rack a bit of a hassle.

I'm old. I was born in 1973! But I ride my Razor Phase II kick scooter which has 5" knobby tires inflated to 100psi whenever I'm not fixing it's flat tires. I get high fives every time. It takes alot of kicking to get inertia to go above 5 feet on 1/4 pipes at Arcadia skatepark. It is easy to beat cyclists and cars in red-light drag races up to 30 feet when they pass me. It's a pleasure to ride for 5 miles straight. Uphill is a challenge so I usually just pick it up since it is only 12 pounds. Being a "Pro Scooter" it does not fold however.

Grow up and be miserable already! I love these social norms that say you can't do something because you are too old. Would you rather walk for a half hour or kick scooter for 10 minutes?

Pass forward and now e-scooters are everywhere! I LOVE IT! I felt awkward using one back then, thats why I never bought one. But now I got an electric one and thinking about getting a new one with 65km range!!

I'd love to have a adult scooter.Faster than walking, don't need to use the road, folds up and small enough to bring anywhere!!!

I've just found an abandoned Razor scooter and can't wait to try it out, when I was a kid we only had flimsy scooters for pre-school children!
