realistically speaking if canon events are the fixed points that miguel makes them out to be then disrupting them wouldn't really change anything except delay the inevitable because they would still eventually happen.

like if gwen is supposed to die then she'll inevitably die be it similar circumstances or something as insignificant as slipping in the bathtub or a food allergy.
