Here's an oldie from my youth! This one is about to turn 50! I improvised part of the solos. This one is what they used to call 'Acid Rock' back when the adults had no idea what to call the music of the younger generation at that time. A great old tune with an excellent blues-rock groove!

"Cheater" is from Bloodrock's 1971 second album entitled "Bloodrock 2". It was written by Nick Taylor, Ed Grundy, Jim Rutledge, Lee Pickens, Stevie Hill, and Rick Cobb.

SIGNAL CHAIN:

GUITAR: Monoprice Indio 66 DLX Plus Goldtop (Les Paul) - Given to me by Monoprice in order to record a few videos of me playing it so they could put it up on their social media. Job done. Free guitar! Monoprice does NOT sponsor me! NO ONE does. UPGRADED recently with a ResoMax bridge (graphite saddled) from GraphTech - and also GraphTech Ratio Locking Tuners.

LYRICS:

You told me that you'd love me
Phonies tell stories that way
If you really want me
How come you won't stay?

Girl, please believe me
I wouldn't cheat on you
Woman, don't you leave me
I couldn't live without you

Someday you'll see what I'm saying
I've worked my hands to the bone
I gave ya all of my money
And you won't even talk

Girl, please believe me
I wouldn't cheat on you
Woman, don't you leave me
I couldn't live without you

Pretty little woman with the fancy tail
You're the one that I knew so well
Same little woman didn't treat me right
Well I'll take her home each and every night

I've been movin', going the wrong way
I've been movin', and I can't stay

Same little woman said she'd treat me right
Well, I took her home each and every night
When that little woman started doin' me wrong
She was out searching the city on her own

I've been movin', going the wrong way
I've been movin', and I can't stay

I’ve never heard of Bloodrock before. They sound like a lot of music I remember hearing blasting out of peoples open windows when playing football with the other kids down my street on a summer evening.
