RIP Stevie Hill 9-12-13 - today - Have out the 1st 4 LP's/CD's - I sing and play on guitar all 34 songs! Have my Bloodrock songbook that I made 1-31-20 to 5-21-21 out right now!

One of my favorite bands ever.  I can listen to their songs over and over again.  Lee Pickens style of playing was truly original.  He looks like a farmer in this video :).

So sad to hear Steve Hill passed away. Jessica was always in our song set since its release. You gotta have a Hammond rock master to do justice to any Bloodrock tune. (Still do "Song for a Brother too)

Steve Hill passed away not to long ago.. That made me sad... Getting older and seeing and hearing news like that about musicians I admire is starting to bring me down.. I was about 15 years old when Bloodrock II came out, after that I bought 3 and loved that album almost as much as I loved II... Anyway, always thought they rocked just as hard or even more than a lot of bands at the time.. Great songs, Great Keys, Organ, Guitars, Vocals... My God... I can't believe that was 44 years ago... Where the hell did the time go?... At least we have Steve Hill & Bloodrock on vinyl Forever.. Going to listen to Steve play on "A Certain Kind" now.. Steve's organ sounds great on that tune... Turn It Up Loud!...

"... I think I'm getting old." LOL Well, we all do. I've been a BIG fan of Bloodrock since I bought their live album back in the early '70's. Yeah, OLD. LOL Thanks a bunch for posting this. It's kinda cool seeing these Texans in regional dress playing this kickass progressive rock.

My Dad is from Northen Mexico, and he tells stories about hitchhiking to Amarillo in the early 70’s to catch them live. He was a big “Rock” fan. On the other side my mom was a big “funk-disco” fan, so my childhood was filled with “Blood Rock” on one side and “Earth Wind and Fire” on the other.

8th grade. Convention hall, Asbury Park N.J. First concert ever. This madman comes sliding out doing some kind of sideways moonwalk banging his cowbell in time to the music til he gets to center stage. Dier Not A Lover I think it was. Gave Mark and the boys a good run for their money that night.... 58 next month and I can't believe what I just saw!! I WANT MORE!!  BLOODROCK...YEAH!

Sounded great! Loved seeing this. For me, USA is their best LP. Magic Man, American Burn, Hangman's Dance. Tremendous hard rock.

One of my all time favorites.  These guys used to open for GFR.  Loved those guys, too.

I believe this was the Ridglea theater in Fort Worth Texas with John nitzinger band opening for blood Rock. Nitzinger had bugs Henderson on stage in his band with Linda Waring on drums it was a nitzinger riunione also and that is why I went to it. Nits and bugs and Linda all signed singers first album bugs told me he didn't play on it but he signed it anyway always loved nitzinger his first album and live better electrically a Texas Legend and also Doug Blood rock song from 1970 got to find a way I don't remember if they played that at this concert or not but they definitely d o a

Fook! had no idea they did this. That Nick Taylor's kid on Drums? I know how hard it is to play 40 years after the fact, they did good.
