Good stuff. Nice to have a couple of affable folks stroll around and explore Toronto and check out the food and such. Cheers.

I use to work in the area before COVID. My parking spot was across the way on Jarvis in the underground Canada Parks, and they get pretty full on weekends due to the St Lawrence Market. My spot there was Uno Mustachio for their veal and eggplant sandwich, especially since I never pass by a Californias or San Franciscos. Uno Mustachio's isn't anywhere near as big as the other 2, but it is almost as well stacked for less (I'm not sure what the price point is now, its been 5 years for me). And the bread they use was fresher and crustier. The only thing, at least a busy Califnornas has over Uno Mustachio is that the veal is crunchier and less soggy.

I can share that my father in law lives in the building right across from the Market and I've been so spoiled by the food there! Waking up early to run out before we got up on a Saturday morning he'd come back with fresh baguettes, cheese and my favourite salmai. Man, those sammys are the BEST. Simple but fresh ingredients make the difference. Thanks for reminding me to visit them soon!! xoxo

Excellent video on St. Lawrence Market. We used to visit 25 + years ago, it was amazing back then & was not as popular. Good times.

I haven’t been to the St. Lawrence market since I was a kid, way back in the 80s and 90s.
My sister and I would always go there on a Saturday and pick up fresh meats, fruits and veggies for the family, plus my sister would have the female bacon sandwich from carousel, and I would have the eggplant sandwich from the bender in the basement right next to the stairs.
Wish I could go back but I live about an hour and a half N. west of Toronto and can’t imagine fighting the traffic to get there on a Saturday.

Loved getting pea meal bacon sandwiches at the market but way too much traffic and hard to find parking now so I go to St Jacob’s.

you missed the basement: European Delight for peorgies and cabbage rolls. Flaky Pastries from StoneMill bakery are much better than Future but you have to get there +2-3 hours before market close - it sells out quick after noon
(skip the chinese place in the basement).

Should have stopped at Mike's Fish Market for some oysters. They make a great snack while shopping. Was there 2 weekends ago.

Oh yes! I enjoyed your video, and I peameal bacon sandwiches from Carousel Bakery at St. Lawrence Market. I loved the butter tarts from Carousel Bakery, too, and the pleasant flirtation.😊
I'm a weirdo in not liking mustard of any kind, so after buying my two peameal bacon sandwiches, I stopped by a little shop nearby to buy prunes. And THANK YOU for reminding us that Carousel Bakery is a cash-only establishment. I'll bring plenty of CAD paper currency on my next trip to St. Lawrence Market, as I plan to buy a lot of food from that bakery. Also, other businesses at St. Lawrence Market may accept cash-only, so it's a great idea to bring plenty of Canadian paper money, not only plastic🤑🤑👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I enjoyed vicariously eating my way through the market through your video.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

There used to be a chicken place right across the hall from Paddington's. Apart from the chicken sandwiches, they made an item called a Risso(s?). My all time fave at the market. Anyone know if they are still there? it looked boarded up.

The slice you got at Pizza Libretto at the Eaton Centre food hall was only $7, compared to this slice at $5.95, but the Libretto slice probably tasted 10x better.

Thanks for sharing
It was a little hard to hear. Not sure if it was the music but kinda sounds like static
