You missed a Toronto original. A hot veal sandwich. A classic in Toronto. You’ll find them in every neighborhood and there is also a spot in the St Lawrence market

I live near Greektown and it has great food. Also, I think my city is the only city in the world that has two China towns. One on Gerrard Street East and the other but bigger on Spadina Avenue.

You missed California Sandwiches. When I have guests (with an appetite) come to town I make sure we stop by. Side note, if you want a great cheese steak, skip Philadelphia, PA and stop by California Sandwiches. Of course a loaded (cheese, peppers, mushrooms and onions) hot veal is the house specialty.

Head out to Stratford for Downie Street Burgers. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had, when I lived in Ontario.

Along with Peameal Bacon on a Bun, the Veal Sandwich is also a Toronto classic. Someone mentioned California Sandwiches. They make a delicious one but most Italian bakeries also make them as well.

As a former Torontonian, Mill St brewery is NOT a “local” brewery. They are owned by Labatt brewery, who I believe are part of some big beer conglomerate. REAL breweries include Big Rock, Black Oak, Junction, Woodhouse, Left Field....just to name a few. You’re welcome

There isn't a lot of German food here but there is a big German grocery store in Mississauga.

As a Torontonian, what most Americans fail to realize is that Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York are all south of Toronto. If you're worried about the cold dress like you would if you were going to Michigan.

The Toronto-Niagara region is the NUMBER 1 destination for international tourists to Canada. Yes, this is a FACT. We beat out the Rockies, Montreal and Vancouver. Imagine that . Come visit. See for yourself.

They have Pastéis de Nata in Toronto? You mean I don't have to fly to Lisbon to have them? That's great!
