dV/dt = (dh/dt)A is called the "Volume Flow Rates" and in Physics it is written as Q = vA, where Q = discharge, v = velocity of flow, and A = cross-sectional area of flow. In many situations, the use of Q = vA in solving flow problems, will greatly simplify the calculations.
