Dr. Rupert Sheldrake - Morphogenetic Fields of Body and Mind - Quantum University

According to the hypothesis of formative causation, all self-organizing systems, including crystals, plants and animals contain an inherent memory, given by a process called morphic resonance from previous similar systems. All human beings draw upon a collective human memory, and in turn contribute to it.

Even individual memory depends on morphic resonance rather than on physical memory traces stored within the brain. This hypothesis is testable experimentally, and implies that the so-called laws of nature are more like habits.

Morphic resonance works through morphic fields, which organize the bodies of plants and animals through vibratory patterns, and underlie their abilities to regenerate and heal after damage. Morphic fields also coordinate the vibratory activities of the nervous system, and are closely connected to mental activity.

Minds are extended beyond brains through these fields, and the effects of attention and intention at a distance can be detected experimentally.

Throughout my life beginning I guess about my forties (currently 79 years) and broadly observing fellow humans I long ago strongly suspected as a species we seem to getting better and better - physically, mentally and intellectually. Then by happenstance coming across Dr.Rupert Sheldrake who postulates a theory that is a quantum leap beyond my intellectual capabilities in a appealing and admirable soft spoken manner immediately resonates with me. Indeed Dr. Sheldrake is the type of person whom I hold in the highest esteem.

Rupert Sheldrake is an example of a scientist who found himself because he developed his character. Let us define character development as general "goodness." Dr. Sheldrake's heredity, environment, and study are part of his expanded awareness. It is fundamental for scientists to look to someone like Rupert as an example to expand their personal awareness. A highly educated person achieves expanded awareness in their field through the development of their character. After the character develops in ways of concern for others the scientist will markedly expand in the awareness of their personal study.

Fascinating talk by Rupert and it got me thinking when he touched on social fields and namely playing in a football team that certain players can be on the same wavelength i.e that knowing exactly where certain teammates are on the pitch without necessarily looking to see where they are. Could this possibly be morphic fields coming into play? (excuse the pun there!)

Does this mean we may get an idea of what people are thinking and or feeling/ I actually think so, in my case, it's intuition, sensitive minds. Just a theory.
