I have never seen a dollar tree like your dollar tree, It didn't even look like the dollar tree with the way the tapes and paint brushes were, my dollar tree is a hot mess with not a great selection at all. Thank you for sharing such great tips and I love watching your videos ❤️

OMG, I almost fell on the floor laughing because you're talking your way right through it and getting clarity, while having some fantastic ownership and being about as "normal" as it gets. I like it that you don't do everything you try to perfectly. It makes you human, relatable and trustworthy. At least in my book. You look awesome regardless. Thank you for your candor and sense of humor. And, of course, everything else you bring to all of us. 💕

Cass, I can relate to your struggles! I am a 58-year-old mother of 11 and grandmother of 17, and I once was hooked on sweets. I didn’t care about the food I ate, I just ate it to get to dessert, and candy all day every day. I gave it up thirteen-years-ago, and cannot believe the difference in my life. I first went to all-natural sweeteners like honey and maple syrup but really saw no difference in my weight. Two years ago I went clean Keto and have dessert made with erithritol or stevia daily. I am satisfied like never before. For the first time in my life I don’t think about my weight, and the scale hovers at 110, when my normal weight was 130 in the past and 160+ when pregnant. I am more fit than I was in my twenties and able to keep up with this big, growing family. You can have your cake, made with the right sweeteners, and eat it too!😂

I set two goals for the 10 week challenge. First, I also had the lose 10 pounds goal and second, to remove 10 things from my home each day for the 10 weeks. I am happy to say I am on track with both! Thanks for your inspiration! I had two bouts with breast cancer last year so I wasn’t in any kind of normal routine. Chemotherapy and other medications contributed to a 20 lb weight gain but I’m working hard to lose all of them! Now I’m cancer free and ready for a fresh start!

I always buy the parchment paper. I like the width of the rolls because it fits my jelly roll pans/cookie sheets and is easy to fit in bread pans for quick cleanup.

I love the 6 pack of those yellow kitchen sponges. They are the absolute best. They last long and get super foamy with a tiny bit of soap. Saves tons. I also love the jumbo bottles of body wash. Not so much for the shower but I use them to refill my hand soap bottles all over the house. Easily fills 3 or 4 for $1.25 and no one knows. Lol.

I also fell off wagon- started taking a family member with me when shopping where I buy junk food... kids are pretty judgey about going against my own goals!!! I sometimes freeze chocolate if I bought it in a moment of weakness; it's not delicious until thawed, which needs to be intentional. (BTW- best Dollar Tree find is craft supplies and Sudoku, Crossword, or Word Finder books!!!)

Back when the pandemic started I got the bright idea to put all of the pictures that were in old albums into picture books. I did do a few but they were all of the easy ones. So as soon as you presented the 10 week challenge I knew what my goal was going to be. I committed to 15 minutes a day of working on sorting through the pictures and just putting them in new photo albums. I am happy to report that I have gone through five large folders of pictures.! You gave me the motivation I needed to do what I had procrastinated doing for almost three years. I still have three large folders to do but I need to purchase more albums... which I hope to be able to do in a week or so. Thank you so much!

You’re a bit young for this, but I’ve got Dollar Tree reading glasses everywhere! I just want to be able to grab a pair wherever I am, and the prescription pairs are too expensive for that. Break a pair? No worries! Love it!

Great tips for dollar tree!
With weight loss, if your constantly snacking (and on sweets) you are probably always elevating you insulin. When Insulin is elevated the body will not lose weight. I love sweets myself and have just stopped buying it and bringing it into the house. I have older kids and they know if they want something they’ll have to make the effort and go get the junk themselves. It’s tough forsure!!! I feel you!

They’ve improved with their cozy socks and winter gloves. I even found leg warmers. Very impressed.

I definitely buy gift bags, tissue paper, and gift boxes at the dollar tree. Their Betty Crocker kitchen utensils are great, too. Thanks for sharing!

My goal was to declutter around my house. Mostly the clutter was in the hidden areas, but I was glad when I've been able to not only declutter but to clean each area as I go. I wanted to get 10 areas done by the end of the year and I've got 5 areas done so far.

You are so right about shopping Dollar Tree can encourage one to bring home "junk" that you won't use, or don't need. At that price it's easy to justify it in your brain. For years, even before DT came to our area, I started a habit of shopping clearance in whatever store I went into, adding up the cost in my head as I went. When I'd roamed the whole store, I'd take one more look at what I'd gathered. Surprisingly, most if not all, didn't seem as "gotta have" as it did when I first saw it. So, I'd walk back around the store to put back what I didn't need. I considered this not only polite, but exercise. I do the same at DT now. While I have a list, you never really know what you are going to find, it's a good habit to get into to keep from over buying.
As for the weight loss. I didn't really set a goal because I don't like goals. However, my sweet precious Joey Cat became very ill. In caring for him and then six days before he passed snuggled in my arms, it turned to hospice care where I helped him eat and administered pain medication. I didn't have time to snack. Barely had time to eat. I lost 8 pounds. Mourning his loss, has kept me on track, as I keep busy drawing and purging more. Snacks are no longer something I crave. Not a way I'd recommend of course. I wouldn't give up a minute of caring for that sweet guy for all the chocolate in the world. He was a mama's boy, always near me.

Hello Cass, I am so happy to see a person like you on youtube, believe it or not, you give me a lot of motivation to do things. I recently have been feeling down and depressed and just hearing your happy voice makes me feel better. I will start cleaning my office, or my room, soon. It makes me sad to see them messy but sometimes is hard to find motivation. I usually walk around with my cellphone playing your videos, to keep me moving hahaha. thank you for what you do.

I love Clutterbug videos! I love Cas's decorating style, and she is so funny and likeable. Her macro-organizing is life-changing.

Many everyday kitchen items at DT are fabulous. Another thing I love is their cake carriers. I enjoy baking Bundt cakes and give them with a DT cake carrier and $.50 lightweight seasonal color plates at Walmart that fit like they were made for each other. It presents nicely with a bit of color. I also use 4 small binder clips, also available at DT, to really secure the lid and base. I’m not sure I trust the handle built into the lid, but as a way to present and preserve the cake you can’t beat it. The best part is when I give the cake I tell them that they are free to do whatever they like to do with the carrier and I literally buy them at DT so we don’t have to worry about getting anything back to each other. The red silicone basting brush is my absolute favorite to glaze the cakes and can go in the dishwasher. I just picked up an 8” round glass cutting board with silicone feet to use in my RV.

I’d say a thorough shopping trip there will shock people who last went there 5+ years ago. They’ve definitely upped their game.

“Therapizing” hahahaha. I wish I knew how to turn on the button that get your motivation going because once I get started I usually do very well but once I get off the program, whatever the program is at the time it’s so hard to get back into it. Maybe it’s like Kallie Brancefort, at But First Coffee says, If you’re waiting for a motivation forget it, just do it. Future you will thank you.

I discovered a love for holiday decor at Dollar Tree two years ago. I did so many DIY projects and I also follow a Facebook page for Dollar Tree diys. Dollar tree household items are fairly good - the cleaners and plastic baggies. I need to hit the reset button on my weight loss goals. I fell off the wagon a week ago lol but it’s a new day. Got to avoid the holiday weight gain. Thanks for your inspiration
