1. “Is your family rich/legacy?”
No, I come from a low-income family. My parents immigrated to the US before they could finish college in Vietnam.
EDIT: We started off low-income; my dad saved up a lot and worked a lot to afford the house we have now; since I run a business, we are no longer low-income as of this past year. However, when I applied and was accepted to Harvard, I had not started my business yet. I say this to highlight that students from low-income families who are applying to Ivy Leagues can get in.

2. “Have fun being in debt.”
Harvard has generous financial aid, so it covers a great proportion of my tuition. I also self-founded a business, so I am able to afford my education, pay family bills, save up for medical school, etc.

3. “What was your personal statement about?”
My mother’s death, single-handedly raising my younger sister in a troubled household, navigating my curiosity and diverse passions.

4. “Can you revise my application/essays?”
Yes, I am a Forbes-recognized, 5-Star college admissions counselor.
