That’s a tough call to make in real time. If you slow it down to 0.25 speed @ 0:28s, it’s hard to judge what arrived first, the tag or the left hand touching home plate.

Actually believe it or not Jose Guillen of the Pirates made a better throw the other night against the Rockies. Nailed Neffi Perez at third from the farthest reaches of right field. Ball got there on the fly chest high and got Perez by at least three feet. This one was close and arguably a tie (which goes to the runner). Gullien's throw got Perez by a mile and he threw it from farther away. Not only was it better than this throw from Mookie I never saw Clemente make a better throw. Check it out on YouTube.
