That hop was actually really necessary as the man on second was in the wrong spot he should have been rotated behind the bag to keep the lane open to first and mookie compensates by hopping up to get the correct angle. Good play.

As I got older I moved to slow pitch softball lol. I was always a utility in baseball. Mostly infield. But love when u get guys and they say, "i can only play short stop"😂😂😂. Ya i find ss the most fun position on the field for sure but if u can play there, u should be able to play anywhere

He was drafted as an infielder ofc he’s good at it. Only reason he moved to outfield is because Boston had Dustin pedroia in infield when he was drafted and he knew he wouldn’t see playing time in the bigs as a infielder.

In the end, the metrics do not look good. But the Dodgers don’t have much choice. In a perfect world, Mookie would be playing that position where he got six gold gloves, seven? And we had a full-time young shortstop who could cover a lot of ground and maybe hit 270. With a little bit of popbut that’s a perfect world.
