never thought about using this practice with all four fingers. More important than I thought. Thank you.

Man, I kid you not, it took me nearly a year of daily deliberate practice to get the F chord down without any buzzing. Wish I would've been watching this channel about three years ago, this would've helped out a lot. Never thought of doing barre chords with the other fingers though, so I'll be implementing the rest of the routine in my sessions. I don't really have trouble any more with the first finger, so that's a plus, now I'll just have to get the rest of the fingers on the same level, hopefully won't be as much of a struggle.
Anyway, great lesson Andre!
Thanks

Hi Andre,
I did this exercise for about 10 minutes. Afterwards all I wanted to do was move around the fretboard and strum different finger and string combinations from the exercise. It was fun!!!!

I just picked up and tuned my guitar and you've posted this, great timing. Although my pinky is nothing like yours and i can't make all strings ring clearly(or at all) when i go up to 4th string and higher, unless i put my 3rd finger over and help pressing. But I'll keep this in my practice for couple weeks cuz your videos never disappoint. And who needs to bar all strings with pinky anyways?)
Thx for the upload <3

I have older hands that were used for heavy labour. They were arthritic and not very dextrous when I started learning guitar 4 years ago at age 58.
After 2 years the arthritic clumsy mitts are much better. The pinky although short really is used a lot.
I play slide guitar and wear the slide on my ring finger.
The pinky has reach in relation to the index finger and with the increased strength and dexterity it’s nearly equal to the other fingers.
I’m going to use your suggestion today and see how it can point out deficiencies to work on.

What gauge strings do you use? Thank you in advance.

Didn't help one bit. Still as difficult as ever. The only answer is thousands of hours and a slow improvement. THERE IS NO MAGIC WAY TO LEAN AND BECOME PROFICIENT WITH BARRE CHORDS!
