Hamburger was made in USA by German immigrants (name not known) from Hamburg. In fact, people from Hamburg did not enjoy those patties made with minced meat; yet, only recently, when the dish became popular, residents of Hamburg wanted to use the popularity for their tourism gains. However, those minced meat patties were certainly enjoyed by Hungarians for the longest time. In which, it leads to a fact that a Hungarian immigrant settled in Hamburg, Germany, then his/her descendants later immigrated to USA with the recipe. But the most interesting fact is that it was Mongolians who initially enjoyed those minced patties, which later they have spread the recipe during their conquest in Eastern Europe. Mongolian cavalries had to mince and salt their meat in order to conserve the food consumption, as they travel intensive amount of distances.

You also forgot to mention that in 1948 McDonalds began to serve hamburgers as their main product, creating the world's largest chain

at 0:30 thats actually the flag of the Netherlands not Germany which holds the city of Hamburg! They are neighbours though it gets mixed up a lot but that's like saying Texas state is the same as New Mexico :)
