I have played resident evil 4 and resident evil 5. There's three strains of the Las Plagas parasite, and the strain this guy got infected with was plaga two. The first plaga needed to be injected in a host to take control, so this type of infection is not plaga one. It's plaga two since plaga two is a matured egg that has to be forcibly shoved in a individual mouth. Where apon being the parasite ( plaga two) attaches itself to the infected person central and perphial nervous system.

These are not zombies but majani, due to them being infected by plaga two parasite. Zombies are infected with a virus.
