This is in error. You still have to go to the DMV in person to renew your license. The only thing you can do on-line is pre register and make an appointment. I made an appointment and registered on line. When I got to the DMV I was given a number and waited over an hour to be seen.

I tried the online renewal E-learning process today. I will be 75 soon.

This was stopped in 2023 per the DMV website.

My DL renewal statement says: "Drivers 70+ must visit a DMV office to renew their license (CA law)".

I am 71 years old and DMV have me jumping into these hoops to get my license but yeah, when I go to the DMV, I see immigrants who cannot speak English bring their family members in to help them with the English part but here is my thought if they can’t read and get their license how can they read the road signs😮
