In other words, they need a way to create revenue to make up for their wasteful spending.

The more cameras, the more government surveillance. Hello 1984 👋🏻

Most new laws only enforced on law-abiding citizens, drunks, thieves, and scammers are roaming free.

Of course CA adopts speed cameras. Sadly, too many don’t recognize the dangers of giving up their freedoms a little at a time. This is not about safety, it’s money and control.

"Do you know why I pulled you over?" "Umm, because you haven't met your daily quota yet?"

The state of CA is more focused on traffic violations than shoplifting to the point of major stores moving out of SF. And cracking down on rapists and murderers. Aggravated assaults are looked over for traffic violations.

I’m 90 and realize my driving skills have diminished over the years so this is my last year of being behind the wheel. I stay off the freeway as much as possible, stay in the right lane except to pass, don’t play the radio and concentrate on the business at hand. In my lifetime I’ve driven everything from tricycles to 18 tires on the road. The idiots have always been there, it’s not a new phenomenon, just more of them.
Indecently, the only ticket I’ve had was in a speed trap for going 1 mph over the limit in Ione, California, 1993.

They can’t enforce the laws they already have…. But let’s extort the remainder of residents with new laws…

If I were to get pulled over in California, I would simply tell the officer I was an illegal asylum seeker. I have no license, no insurance, the car is not registered, etc... Then I'd be let go with a voucher for dinner at Ruth's Chris.

Speeding tickets are like $300, so yeah California needs money for the new medical for illegal immigrants

I knew as a teenager never to answer the "why I was stopped" question. The answer is always "no". How stupid are these people?

Cops withholding reasons for traffic stops at the start causes alot of conflict. I'm surprised CA passed such a law. No donut for you, copper.

You tackle all these road problems but don’t do anything regarding the massive crime and theft problems??
