I thought the 2600 one sounded the worst, and the 2k one the best. I think it all comes down to the pickups.

The second guitar, Ibanez AZ2402 is the one that sounded the best to me.

Definitely the collector's Ibanez, but for the next comparison I'd love to see the effects of the same guitar with cheap to expensive priced pickups installed.

Honestly feel is probably the most important thing to me. I tried some fender teles and the finish on them was buttery smooth. I tried a lower quality tele and it just wasn't the same. Tone wise not that big of a difference but that 2000+ more was noticeable in the how the instrument felt in the hands. It inspired confidence.
