Avatar still is one of the best looking CGI films ever made. There are still movies being released in 2022 that don't look anywhere near as good. Cameron makes his people work hard and gets the results. Love him or hate him, the man does know how to put an epic spectacle up on the silver screen. I will buy a ticket to anything he makes.

The green Na’vi were not experimented on, the Metkayina are just greener bc they’re a different race. They may look bluer in some shots because of the lighting, but overall they have a different skintone than the Omatikaya (Jake, Neytiri, etc.)

I personally think that navi is green because just like how on earth we have light skinned people and dark skinned people the navi can also come in different skin tones

There are more differences with the water tribe na'vi other then that they have a greener skin, this includes paddle like tails, webbed hands and maybe feet as well I couldn't tell, and more aquatic built arms. Some also seem to have blue eyes and probably better underwater vision.

The big whale are actually quite common you don’t ride them cause they’re actually way smarter than humans they are like spirit animals linked to the blue and green people

The skin isnt Green, its clearly a Light blue with the Sun shining on it

Whats wild to me is that I vividly remember telling myself after I saw the first one in theaters that some greenish Navis would’ve been so dope and now that I saw one, I feel like I legit manifested a thing that gives no new purpose to my life but makes it slightly more enjoyable

The new tribe also seem to have evolved paddle like tails instead of the more cat like ones of the original tribe.
