'Russia has chosen war': PM Morrison condemns 'brutal invasion' of Ukraine

Prime Minister Scott Morrison says the Russian government has launched a "brutal invasion" on Ukraine.

It comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a military operation in Ukraine and warned of "consequences" the world has never seen if other nations attempt to intervene.

"We do call on the Russian government to withdraw and return Ukraine to a peaceful situation," Mr Morrison said during a media conference on Thursday.

"Russia has chosen war."

How about we talk about you Morrison declaring war on Australian citizens with the deployment of LRAD weapons on peaceful demonstrators.
