FWIW, “wipe on” poly in the can like that is just regular poly diluted to 50/50 with normal mineral spirits. At my local blue store, the regular fast drying poly is $16/qt, the “wipe on” version is $20/pint. But again, wipe on is only 50% poly, so realistically you’re paying $20 for 8oz of poly while the regular can sitting on the shelf right next to this “wipe on” that you bought is $16 for 32 oz. You literally get 4x more for less money, and you already need a jug of mineral spirits if you’re working with oil based finishes anyway 🤷‍♂️

Seriously, I understand there’s lots of situations where paying for the convenience is simply worth the money. This just ain’t one of them

Awesome video! I’m going to try this product for my cutting boards. I’m a beginner and just built my first coffee table and have been looking into finishes for the table. Previously just been using mineral oil and beeswax
