Retired farmer here. Raised a lot of four legged animals. Learned quickly that any diet change must be slow or the animal will suffer a set back. Think of switch-over from winter feed to spring forage. Makes total sense for humans to change diet gradually. I recommend keeping a journal and monitoring as many health metrics day by day as you can. I'm an older man. Guessing that seniors need even longer than usual transition plans and more careful monitoring. Everyone is different. Our capacity for example to digest fat in the diet requires a healthy pancreas with unblocked or unchoked tubes. So the health of the liver and other organs will impact ability to transition.

I am from Poland. I would like to thank dr Georgia Ede and the presenter for raising such an important topic. I am so happy that there are more and more wise and brave people, doctors and scientists (also in Poland for example prof Grażyna Cichosz or dr Danuta Myłek, dr Henryk Różański, prof Frydrychowski) who are not afraid to tell the truth. We have to live "close to nature" to stay healthy.
Greetings from Poland !

Low carb high fat diet saved my life. I was morbidly depressed for decades. Changing my diet completely changed me as a person in positive ways.

Most medical doctors are ignorant about nutrition and other modalities for treatment. They think what they have learned in medical school is the only way and are quite arrogant about it and narrow-minded to other options. You go to your psychiatrist and discuss nutrition as a way of treatment and/or lowering your medication and they would roll their eyes and laugh at you. Finding a doctor that is well-informed and open-minded is very difficult.

I had a depression for 8 years, therapy didn't work. I removed sugar from my diet and depression is gone! None of the doctors ever told me about cutting sugar. I just decided to stop eating sugar because I wamted to lose weight.

My cardiologist put me on atorvistatin and 6 months later I couldn't remember how to cook ANY recipe. I'm 70 yo and have been cooking recipe free for at least 45 of those years. I told him about my memory and his response was: "Oh, well then stop taking the Atorvistatin." He KNEW that it caused memory loss! My memory came back fully within 30 days! I can't believe that ANY REPUTABLE medical doctor would prescribe a medication that they KNOW is harmful! I thought the 'Golden Rule' was DO NO HARM! Cleary not all docs remember that part of the oath!

Thank you so much for this video! I am very grateful for the information provided here❣️🥰

I had a 5 day stay in hospital recently & was really shocked at what was in the menu - there was so much sugar!
When i asked for fresh fruit instead of custard or jelly, they recommended i get listed for the diabetic diet...

I also went to the cafeteria to buy nuts for snacks, & saved bread, since the gaps beteen meals was too long - tbere might have been tea breaks of sugary biscuits.

I told them i can't eat such a high level of sugar, as it makes me too emotional (sad, teary, anxious, depressed, plus peaks of restlessness & extreme tired)..

I couldn't believe that level of sugar & processed food was being fed to us in a brand new modern hospital in Australia.

Nearly everything else about the hospital was excellent.

It's not just what you eat, it is how much you move, how much purpose you have in life, who you spend your time with, your mindset in general, and all this affects how you metabolize whatever you eat...and awareness of commercialization of foods/pesticides/factory farm practices, how fresh your unpackaged food, is, how healthy the soil is, and leaving out sugar and alcohol goes a long way towards a balanced colorful diets and mental health being addressed by something like Compassionate inquriy or Internal Family Systems which has a major affect on your digestion and can help balance your health.

I worked as a pharmacy technician just for few months and in those months I dispensed so much of ADHD meds for children as young as 6 years, that I questioned my existence in that pharmacy.

I resigned... but thoughts in my head like how poorly these parents are informed, to what level these doctors who prescribe such meds are crooks, to what level these pharma can drop to make profits... never stopped.

Please bring more of such content where people can be educated by God fearing knowledge holding experts who think that one day they will be held accountable for whatever they say and prescribe to fellow beings.

I have friends who are suffering with depression and in one case, extreme emotional imbalance. I suggested to one friend that maybe they should take a look at their diet... make a small adjustment such as cutting out pasta and see how they feel after a couple of weeks... to cut a long story short, they went way further than my humble suggestion... they cut out a large amount of sugars, drastically cut back on bread and wheat-based items, and have said to me that they are noticing a significant difference. I doubt they will ever go full carnivore (like I am), but I feel like getting just one person to make a tiny change is a huge win. Now I have to try and help my other friends :)

My doctor wants me on Lipitor. Cholesterol is high 200’s, ldl almost 200 but my HDL is 72 and triglycerides are 52, blood pressure is good, pulse is good. I’m chubby but not overweight, active throughout my days, don’t drink or smoke, very rarely eat processed foods, mainly eat homemade foods based in animal products. I respectfully declined the meds.
