Bible quotes trademarked? By who? God? I mean seriously. How can someone trademark God’s words?

I did a few designs but will definitely keep adding more. I am a bit slower since I only put about 5-8 hrs per week on my shop 😢

If people are trademarking or being allowed to trademark Bible passages or Bible verses.. that is awful! This is God's Word!! Trademarking is happening too much all across the board... people are basically trying to eliminate competition by trademarking... and that is unethical!! It is one thing to trademark the name of a store or to trademark a brand name, I totally get that... but people should not be allowed to trademark common phrases so that other people can't use them. I feel like someone with money needs to start up some lawsuits.. becuase eliminating competition by outlawing competiion is just not ethical at all. Everyone should be able to use these common phrases and then let the marketplace decide which ones rise to the top.. that's the way it's supposed to work. It places the emphasis on quality.... not someone buying out his or her competition. Sorry for the rant, I'm just discovering so many very common phrases are trademarked and I just have strong disagreements with trying to outlaw competition when it comes to these very common phrases. And they're even trying to trademark God's Word?? I haev not put Bible verses in my shop.. I just feel funny making money off God's Word, but I've thought about "selling" them at cost, someday.... I don't understand how someone could be so unethical as to try to trademark the Bible.... this is not man's word, it's God's Word!!!
