A dating advice question I get asked a lot by women is "Mark, what do men want from a relationship? What makes a guy commit? What does my boyfriend crave from me in our relationship?"

Giving dating advice to women on what men want from a relationship is one of the most important jobs I have as a dating and relationships coach. If you want a man to make you his girlfriend and make him want a relationship, you need to understand what men want from a relationship so you can demonstrate to him you possess those things. If you do, he's going to want a relationship and want to commit to you.

"Boyfriend Benefits" is a term I discuss a lot in my video's and seminars. These boyfriend benefits are the things men LOVE from relationships and the reasons men love being in a relationship with you. In this video I'll be talking about what they are and how you can show you provide them to men.

When a woman comes to me saying "Mark, What do men want in a relationship? What does my boyfriend want most from me?" my first thought is "Great question! This woman obviously understands men commit to a relationship (and stay in a relationship) because there must be things men love about BEING in a relationship. This woman must know that, if she can find out what these things are and make sure she provides them, men are going to want to be in a relationship with her and want to stay in that relationship with her.

Okay, this makes sense Mark. I think my comments on your last previous video, "Signs He's Falliing In Love" ties into this video. If a women gives away these important qualities too early/quickly in the relationship, the man may get bored or lose interest because he may be feeling that she does this with every new guy she starts to date. I need to be careful of this point myself because I tend to show my loyalty, support, giving of my time, etc, WAY TOO MUCH in the beginning! He hasn't earned that from me yet and here I am being my normal "giving self" to this man that I think is really cool and I want to keep him interested by showing how supportive, giving, and loyal I can be. I see now....BIG MISTAKE!! Ugh.... where were you with this advice 20 years ago? :-)

What happens when a guy says he likes his freedom being single? He says he enjoys hanging out with me, thinks I'm sexy - and the feeling is mutual ;-)
I don't want him to think a relationship is about tying anyone down. I'm an independent woman and like my space too. He's not seeing anyone else. We have the companionship, good laughs, support each other etc. maybe he doesn't want to put a label on it?

I think these are all great tips. The problem I find in dating is I can't be the woman I am. I do have a wonderful man in my life. It really boils down to if the guy is ready for a relationship. Even if you would make a great couple, if he's not ready, too bad.

I love your videos very helpful and funny. My friend whom i have been friends with for 12 years has told me i am too picky with guys and i pick the worst guys. He came out and told me he liked me and wanted me to give him a chance but i frienzoned him. I tend to fall in love with the really good looking strong heart throbs. Finding a man with the whole package is hard too find.
