What is Other Structures Coverage

What's up everybody, happy Monday. You know what time it is, I wanted to get The Morning Minute in today, and today I we're going to talk about other structure coverage, which is a coverage on your homeowners policy.

With other structures, that coverage can help you to repair or rebuild a structure other than your home, so that could be a detached garage, a shed, a gazebo, a swimming pool, a fence, and other things like that.

Something important to note, too, is that other structures is generally 10% of what your home is insured for. So, if your house is insured for 500,000, generally the other structure coverage is set at 50,000.

Now keep in mind, if you do have a large, detached garage, or maybe two other structures on your property, you can increase that limit, and you just have to talk to your agent about it and take it from there.
